Axometric Drawing

The project site is base in Elwood, and the brief required us to design a community center for the locals with activities such as reading spaces, event spaces and bathrooms. I started with a series of figure ground drawings to establish form and shapes of the design. Then I found out that Elwood has a relatively younger population and that there are two schools nearby. Therefore, I wanted to focus on designing a more playful and adventurous space for younger people. With that in mind, I incorparate a lot of landscaping elements within the projects, with areas sinking in to create a pond, small hills that acts as playground elements etc. The design for the buildings are also quite playful, with a lot of curves and windows that allows interesting views towards the garden.
